The Portland-based company Quantrix says taxpayers who log onto http://www.electiontaxes.com and enter their income can obtain a free estimate of what they would pay in taxes for 2009 through 2012 under each of the two presidential candidates.
"The economy is a key factor in this presidential election, and our interactive tool enables individuals to make an informed choice when casting their vote," said professor Jeffrey Gramlich of the University of Southern Maine. "With just a few keystrokes, this model enables voters to see how these tax plans will impact their personal bottom line."

This just in...A CNN poll suggests that 49% of Americans (or of those polled, rather)feel that they would fare better under a McCain tax plan than under that of his opponent, with 45% preferring Obama's tax plan. Both candidates have released their tax plans to the public and they have been reviewed by multiple non-partisan organizations. What the Tax Policy Center has found is that most Americans, especially those in the middle and lower classes, with fare significantly better under Obama's tax plan. Those making up to approximately $112,000 a year would see a larger tax cut under the Obama administration. You can see the full chart of how the Tax Policy Center breaks down both tax plans by income at http://money.cnn.com/2008/06/11/news/economy/candidates_taxproposals_tpc/index.htm.
When will American start choosing information over ignorance???
John McCain's tax policy cuts taxes for rich people that don't need them.
Barack Obama's plan cuts taxes for 95% of Americans (the one's that really need it). What he proposes is that everyone pays a fair share.
Level playing field....
What's so bad about that?
