The McCain campaign officially released their new (new??) 'strategy', wherein they would like to downplay the 'issues' and focus on name calling and other "character issues". Presumably, this is what the McCain campaign thinks Americans should focus on? Even as we hit an all time lows in the Dow, as unemployment skyrockets, banks close, taxpayers being told to pay $840 billion to save our (ours??) economy, and the mortgage disaster explodes. Apparently.
"An aide to McCain recently said his campaign would like to shift the presidential race's focus away from the economy, which has been a better issue for Democrats than Republicans. Since then, McCain's running mate Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has been questioning Obama's character based on his association with an incendiary pastor and a 1960s radical turned college professor."
The McCain camp would like us to focus on important issues, we really need to talk about the backgrounds of the members of the eight-person Woods Fund Board. Because sitting on a board of a charity with an activist from the 60's is an inexcusable character flaw? And this 'connection' is supported only by the hard facts of a $200 contribution by Ayers to the Obama re-election fund, and their joint membership on the Woods Fund Board.
So, lets not talk about how you don't have a job, how you cant get health insurance, why you lost your home, and please, stand aside as our planet slowly withers away. With less than a month left until election day, the McCain camp would like you to know that this is more important. More important than you, your job, your health, and your home.
Hm.
Now who's elitist?

The focus on "character" is a thin veiled attempt to accuse Barack of being a terrorist. McCain would love to use his milatary record more but since his canidate is to young to join any major milatary US involvement and his kids are too young to be in the milatary. Senator McCain must link Senator Obama to as many so-called un-American, Al Queda loving, peace mongering groups that he can imagine.
When did non violent diplomacy become so wrong. How did jingles like "Bomb Iran" become the cry of Americans to resolve our foriegn issues?
