White House Chief of Staff

President Elect Barack Obama has chosen his
Chief of Staff less than 24 hours after winning the General Election. He has chosen fellow Democrat Rahm Emanuel, who has been a member of the United States House of Representatives since 2003. Emanuel is no stranger to the White House. He served as a senior advisor to President Clinton from 1993 to 1998. Initially he was Assistant to the President for Political Affairs and then Senior Advisor to the President for Policy and Strategy. He will become the third Jewish Chief of Staff, after Kenneth Duberstein, Chief of Staff to Ronald Reagan, and Joshua Bolten, Chief of Staff to George W. Bush.

Rahm Emanuel is very hawkish when it comes to the conflict between Israel an Palestine. (Of course siding with Israel at every issue) He has voted for the war in Iraq and supported the Wall Street bail out. Can he get more Republican than that! If Obama wants to change the course of the Empire, then he needs to publicly end "the war on terror", clarify that terror is a technique not an ideology, close down Guantanamo immediately, end nonsense talk such as "axis of evil, good vs evil, islamofashisim" and finally leave Iraq and Afghanistan ASAP! If he wants true change that is!!! I am a skeptic at heart and would love to be proven wrong....
